Customs Notice

No. Title
1 The revision to Paragraph 3 of "Operation Directions Governing the Customs Procedures for the Examination and Release of the Goods for Maintenance and Consumption on Board Vessels" shall take effect on May 11, 2022. 
2 On May 6, 2022, the Ministry of Finance initiated an anti-dumping investigation on float glass, in sheets, originating in or imported from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
3 On May 18, 2022, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced the imposition period of anti-dumping duty on towel products originating in or imported from China will expire on December 20, 2022. If the producers of domestic like products consider the continued imposition is necessary, they shall apply to the MOF within one month from the next day of this notice date.
4 From April 18, 2022, customs requirements code “Z” for 8419.50.90.00-9 “Other heat exchange units” is added to the Import and Export Commodity Classification of the Republic of China. Please be aware of the changes when declaring.
5 CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION, MOF Order is hereby given, for the revision on partial provisions of “Directions of Customs Valuation of One-time Transfer Pricing in Fiscal Year” (revised Directions come into force on April 22, 2022)
6 CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION, MOF Order is hereby given, for the revision on Paragraph 3 and Appendix 1 of Paragraph 4 and Appendix 2 of Paragraph 8 of “Operation Directions for Imported Used Cars Valuation” (revised Directions come into force on April 11, 2022)
7 On April 11, 2022, Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that temporary reduction of tariffs on meat of bovine animals from NT$10 per kilogram to NT$5 per kilogram, on milk powder for baking from 10% to 5%, on butter from 5% to 2.5%, on anhydrous milk fat from 8% to 4%, and on wheat from 6.5% to 0% shall be implemented for a two-month period from May 1 to June 30, 2022.
8 Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance announced that peanuts’ cumulative import volume reached the trigger level of special safeguard, and the additional duty started to be imposed at 14:34:13, March 25, 2022.
9 On March 3, 2021, Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that temporary reduction of tariffs on ingredient of pharmaceutical alcohol from 20% to 10% shall be implemented for a six-month period from February 27 to August 26, 2022.
10 CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION, MOF Order is hereby given, for the promulgation of “Directions Governing the Customs Determination and Mediation of False Declaration of the Description of the Cargoes” (directions take effect from March 16, 2022)
